Mida Grande Resort Phuket has a total of six salt-water swimming pools, of which four have rooftop locations, on Buildings 1, 5, 6 and 7. All the rooftop pools have a double beach view of Surin and Bantao Bangtao beaches. One of the pools, outside Building 7, is a dedicated children’s pool, in a shaded location and with small slides. There is a small bar adjacent to this pool.
M-Energy Fitness Centre is in two locations, the largest being at Building 7, and the other at Building 4. Both are equipped with modern fitness technology, and qualified trainers are on hand to suggest workout routines.
Large public bathrooms are located at Buildings 4 and 7, and both of these have saunas attached. There are two saunas at each, for men and for women.
The resort has extensive facilities for children, with two Kiddy Play rooms. The largest of these is at Building 4, with the other being a dedicated children’s activity room at Building 7. Professional staff supervise both. Activities include games, painting, puzzles, toy making and a TV corner, and include the option of cookery and Thai language classes. The toys have been carefully chosen with no small items that a child could swallow, and all toys are colourfast. A popcorn and ice cream cart is outside the largest Kiddy Play, and the hotel restaurants serve children’s menus.
